Adding another rigid body causes object to fall?
Ran into a weird issue. I have a character, with a capsule collider & rigid body. There is a floor plane that has a collider and a rigidbody as well. Running the game works as expected, and the character stays on the plane. Now for the weird part: I added a simple cube, with a collider and a rigidbody, and now both of them (character & box) fall through the floor... deleting the cube from the world makes the problem go away...
anyone has any insight into why this could be happening?
EDIT: I've also tried just duplicating my character, and again, now both instances fall through the floor.
Just a shot in the dark, but is the cube a parent/child of the character? Doing that makes Unity physics behave erratically.
From http://docs.unity3d.com/Documentation/$$anonymous$$anual/Physics.html "You should never have a parent and child rigidbody together You should never scale the parent of a rigidbody"
