Unity webplayer GetUnity() not working properly

Hello,

I need to get the unity object on my web page to interact with it via javascript, as seen here : http://docs.unity3d.com/Documentation/Manual/UnityWebPlayerandbrowsercommunication.html

The problem is that GetUnity() returns an HTML element, and not a javascript object. So I can't access to the SendMessage function.

I googled and found some answers, but all of them were outdated and didn't work.

Tried on chrome and firefox, same result. Unity can talk to the browser, so the communication is working, I just don't know how to get the unity object.

Has anyone managed to do this ?
