Question by Posly · Jan 17, 2012 at 10:01 PM · xboxps3psp vita

Will it be possible to develop for the PSP vita?

The PSP vita is sony's newest version of the PSP and there are a ton of cool features on it and that's why I want to develope for it. But is it going to be possible? If not when do you think it will be possible? I also have another question, how hard do you think it is to develop for PS3 / Xbox, I see that only one game has been created for the PS3 so I'm guessing it's a hard task.

That would be really cool, I was actually wondering the same thing. The vita is something I really want to develop for. Developing for Vita through unity will probably not happen anytime soon (it might, but who knows when)

from what I hear its a pain to develop for the ps3, a bunch of major developers actually complained about that, however sony changed all that with the vita, supposedly. The vita is suppose to be very easy to develop for and port games to.

Also the Vita supports C# as the program$$anonymous$$g language. so who knows, maybe in the future unity will give us the ability to develop for vita. Although sony has their own SD$$anonymous$$ for vita. I remember a while ago sony was letting people sign up to get the sdk for vita.

Well based on hardness for developing for ps3/360 you would need to follow guidelines, but i did hear developing for ps3/360 you do need a license which, i may be wrong, cost thousands of dollars, around $40,000

But submit information to here

http://unity3d.com/company/sales?type=sales

They would obviously know more information on this

Hope i helped
