Android App stopped asking permission for internal storage
Hi there,
my game has a screenshot function that uses some code from the asset store: https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/integration/gallery-screenshot-7827
While you don't need any app permissions to save playerprefs, the screenshot function needs access to internal memory. Usually it worked like this: Whenever I had the screenshot code in a project, the app would ask for storage permission on installation and everything worked fine. Recently I heard from testers who had reinstalled the app, that the screenshot function wasn't working anymore. I figured out that lack of permission was the problem. It's easy to grant this permission manually in the android settings, but it's off by default. I can't figure out how to ask for this permission within the app. I found "Permission.RequestUserPermission", but there are only 6 permissions listed and "internal storage" is not amog them. I'm at a loss. And I'm not even sure what caused this change in the first place.
If anyone could point me in the right direction?
Thanks Anton
