Halo animations will not display

There is a problem with my halo animations displaying on screen. So far there are no compiler errors and the animations have played every time until now. All other animations work. but the size of the halo never changes when I preview in-game or in the animation window. Is there something that I missed in the settings? I am using the pro version of Unity 4.
