moving an object at the edge of plane?

Hello friends, I want to implement functionality like one tool tip text is present above my plane, and if I scale that plane that tool tip text should move with the proportion of the plane scale and it should intact with the edge of the plane. It should not go away from it. How can I make this possible? I tried to find the height width of plane but not working :( Please help..

Try making the plane a parent of the text. Position the text where you want it on the plane, and then you should be able to scale the plane up and down and the text will stay on the edge of the plane. This will make the 3D text size go up though...

I'm working on a similar problem. $$anonymous$$y billboards scale over time. As they get larger, they expand from the middle out sinking the bottom of the billboard underground. I need to reference the bottom of the plane and tell it to stay at a desired y coordinate while it scales.

Did you figure out a solution? Ill post an answer if I find one!

I think what you want is to make a script that -- in an update function of some sort -- always assigns the text's position to be the plane's renderer.bounds.max.y value, or something like that. Is that what you want?
