Scrolling Parallax flickers on some Android devices (2D)
Hi All,
So I created this simple Unity 2D game which runs perfectly on all platforms including Android (Nexus 5). Nevertheless, when I run it on my Samsung Galaxy S3 for instance, it starts flickering. The rest of the game objects' moving are butter smooth but the parallax effect, which at the beginning is okay but over time it stutters so much in way that it hurts your eyes. It gets worse whenever you loose the game (i.e. the scene rests).
I use Unity 4.3.2.
Regards.

I had same issues. But in my case I only had to check the camera configuration. Orthographic size was the issue in my case.
I just make my blind guess, because I do not know your case : it may be because of the camera setting or something related to the device's size. Unity camera tries to scale according to device screen. If you have tk2d asset, you may try to use its camera. I think it is better than Unity one for 2D game.
Moreover, from the view point of an Android native app developer, I admit that it is impossible to cover ALL screen sizes and devices. It is only the effor to cover as many sizes as possible. So you can try to focus on specific screen size at best.
