Adding Rotation to a portion of the animation
Hi,
We are making a 2.5D side scroller game. I currently have the shoot and walk/run animations of the character blended together. However we need to be able to rotate the top half of the character so they can shoot objects at the top of the screen.
How would you approach this in Unity?
Thanks.

Look into additive animations and then using the blend weight and settings to control how much to apply it. You can apply an additive animation to part of the animation without affecting the rest of it. The blend weight defines how much of the other animation gets added, and the animation blend layers also affect that. Those are all huge topics but that should get you started.
