How do I make this small somewhat cutscene?
I am almost done with this level I am working on but I want the level to start with a black screen, you hear a car break down, the door opens and slams shut, then the game fades in and you start playing there.
Would I just make a Video File of a black screen with the sound effects and have them play before the level starts? I can do that with Unity Pro I believe. Or is there a way in Unity to do it?
Why video? Why not just an audio file. Lots of code around for fading a black texture to transparent.
Yes, this seems like a fairly easy task. Scripts for fading to or from black are common, and for the rest you only need to play sound effects.
Just put a plane with a black image texture in front of the camera and then script it to slowly change it's alpha transparency to 100% clear.
