Spectrum of a mathematical function?
I am trying to get frequency spectrum of a mathematical function and after graphically show it... and excuse me for my bad english
Is this a math problem or a GUI problem ?
PS : When you are not sure of your english skills, please specify on your profile where you come from. This way, someone can help with the translation. I can help with french, for instance.
Sadly I can only help with American translations to English :(

Unity has some FFT (Fast Fourier? Transform) stuff, that might be a good place to start. FFTWindow for example.
But i couldn't input a mathematical funnction only a audio source.

a mathematical function???!?!?!?! it's frequency???
Hum. i am confused because mathematical functions don't necessarily have a frequency. for example...
x = 1+ mathf.pi;
is a maths fct. no frequency.
y = sin(x);
is a maths function, frequency is 2.pi. its frequency is pure
perlin noise(x,y);
frequency is regular but unclear, it has many many frequency bands.
mandelbrot set fucntion... what frequency is it?
3d mandelbrot... what frequency?
frequency is periodic signatures of a repetetive function.
it's complicated you had to explain better.
if it's a 1d function, i.e. it returns x output for y input, you can make it into a sound using x = sample pos and y = result, and then use sound to analyse it. what precisely is your mission?
