Change Editor Window Update Rate
I'm making a simple lip sync solution (as simple as those get), so I need to analyze sound frequencies from my audio files. In order to do this I have to rely on spectrum data, which is only obtainable from an AudioSource, so I need to analyze the sound as it's playing. This means that I have to play the sound in the editor and run my analyzing code on it at a very fast pace (the solution works by generating curves, which require keys). The issue with this is that EditorWindows, the method I'm using for this, update very slowly, so I'll end up with 20 keys for a 5 second audio clip, where I need something more like 300.
Is there a way to get the Editor Window's "framerate" up? I can't run IEnumerators from Editor Windows, nor can I call InvokeRepeating()
, so I'm at a bit of an impasse.
