Swap oout character models for ym cusom ones?

hey guys new to characters in unity, I've created some characters using blender and was wondering how it would be possible to swap out the standard assets character modle with my own custom characters for my character controller and keep all the animations and everything? so i keep all the character controller stuff and animations but using my custom 3D character insted of the basic one unity gives you? (thirdpersoncontroller)

Assuming you are talking about a model with a humanoid Rig, you need to make sure your custom model has the bare minimum amount of bones to pass as a humanoid rig. If you used standard bone names, I believe it maps the bones to the humanoid setup in unity if not, you will have to map them yourself. Thereafter you should be able to connect the same animation controller to the new avatar. It’s really quite intuitive
