Unity3D Editor GUI issues
Hello, All, Quick question, I recently re-installed UNITY on my development Rig, twice to be exact, and have this strange artifacting at the top and bottom of the editor. that I just can't get rid of. I've tried re-installing, running as admin, re-sizing, refreshing, praying to heathen gods, altering the layout and several other equally unproductive ideas. I have attached a photo any tips would be greatly welcomed!

This looks like an issue with your GPU or drivers. First, try updating your drivers.
Try running Unity in OpenGL mode and see how that fairs for you. The easiest way to do this is:
Copy and paste your Unity shortcut and rename to something like "Unity OpenGL"
Right-click and select properties
In the text box that ends
Unity.exe"
change it to endUnity.exe" -force-opengl
Double click shortcut
Awesome I got it to work perfectly with the fore-opengl trick!
This just fixed the problem I've been having forever... of course, now I have to figure out what changed.
i just writed about same problem there http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/strange-editor-ui-refresh-bug.364707/ And your method solved my problem!! Thanks!! but after close editor - i get strange bug report window.
Thank you! I've updated my GPU driver and added -force-opengl. Everything seems to work fine now.
