Unity3b7 MonoDevelop 2.4 Unity Connect to debugger.
Ive noticed in the MonoDevelop Preferences (Tools -> Preferences -> Unity -> Debugger) that there is a checkbox to Launch Unity automatically. Currently that's the only way I've been able to get Unity3 and MonoDevelop to connect.
Is there a way tell Unity to connect to MonoDevelop without having MonoDevelop spawn the Unity instance?
I'm trying to build some sort of Unity Editor Extension that would allow you to connect to the MonoDevelop instance with the click of a button with no success so far. Any Ideas?
It would greatly save the community time as you wouldn't have to wait for Unity to load every time.

Right now, there is not a way to connect to the debugger, except at Unity startup. On-the-fly attaching is planned for an upcoming version of Unity.
I was hoping they might have exposed a method or two that would allow for that already.
It's not a matter of exposing a method. The debugger is literally incapable of being attached after startup time.
