Natural Selection type Alterations of Geometry
I can't think of any other way to describe this, but I am starting a project where I may need to swap between two models--one clean, one dirty and bumpy--in stages. I don't want to have a dozen or more in-between models, but would rather be able to specify two models and a lerp value (for some form of lerping, yet to be determined) and have an output model which is visible.
I want something that approximately corresponds to how Natural Selection / NS2 has the bio-growth covering the floor and walls: different texture, additional geometry, smooth transition, etc.
Because I need to be able to rotate the model in 3D, I can't simply make an image sequence animating between the two states (otherwise I would, and forgo Unity all together).

mesh morphing from one mesh to another can be done with MegaFiers.

I mean lets be clear here I played NS2 beta. IT TOOK THEM FOREVER to get that stuff to work right. They literally got it working how they wanted JUST PRIOR to release.
They even joked about it being one of the first features they tried to develop and the first they talked about and the very last feature to be feature complete.
$$anonymous$$esh $$anonymous$$orphing! That's what it was called. It's been a decade since I did that in 3D studio back in college.
Thanks!
(As for buying, not a problem, bill it back to the client ;) )
