Unity Editor cant host using systems.sockets.net sockets
I'm making a multiplayer game using systems.sockets.net. I can host and connect to the host fine using the game build, I can also host with a game build and connect to the host using the editor. However if I host using the editor the socket starts listening with no error message, however I can't connect to the editor host. Since it works with two game builds I feel it's an issue with the unity editor allowing incoming connections rather then a code issue. Makes it very hard to debug the server.
hard to say, the only thing i can tell you is that i have set up hosts in the editor without any issues, but i was connecting to them using console applications not unity builds so not sure what could be the error. all the builds and the editor are in the samemachine?
Yeah all the builds are on the same machine, i've tried both local host and external ip's with port forwarding aswell. I have had it work before in the past so it may be an issue or change with the latest version of unity.
i am working with 2018.3.0.f2 right now.the sockets are being set up correctly in the host-editor? the only thing i can think of is the port is being used by something when running in the editor?
