Platforms again.. Working but..

I've searched, read and used just about all the solutions on unityAnswers about this subject. I'm using one that i am having the most positive results with that do not involve parenting.

I'm using the script provided from this link http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/3729

I'm having two problems.

  1. While the script does work (eventually) I have to jump onto the platform / "MovingSurface" a few times before i actually stick to it. The first few times i get thrown off to a seemingly random point.

  2. Interacting with static object colliders does not seam to work while on a moving platform.

Example.

You are on a moving platform with an object partly blocking your path along the platforms trajectory. If you stay put and let the platform move you into the object, you will simply pass through it. You can how ever walk into and collide with the object from the sides that are not facing the direction you are moving towards. You can hit the left, right, and back. But walking into or being carried into the front allows you to just pass on through.

This is having to do with the fact that the platform is updating your position. But for some reasons the colliders get ignored.

Applying a rigidbody to the object only makes you push it around and out of your way.
