Speed of animation transitoins
I'm trying to make my character idle, walk then run.. it does all 3 except it takes much to long for it to switch between walking and running. It goes from idle to walk almost immediately on key but then walks awhile before running. I have all the animation frames made out. Perhaps the original animation in blender is too long. idk...

You can alter the speed of your animation from within unity by accessing the AnimationState via script:
animation["AnimationName"].speed = 1.0f; // this will play the animation at normal speed. 1 == 100%.
However, if your animation timing is way off, even if you get it lined up properly in unity it's probably going to look weird. Imagine a guy walking, but his legs and arms are moving really fast- probably wouldn't look very good, eh? Adjusting the speed of an animation is really just for tweaking, even though you can do whatever you like with it. It's always better to get as close as possible with your original animations.
