Playing a video on the iPhone?
I have the basic version of Unity iPhone and I want to play a very short cutscene before the game starts. Is this possible and if so then how?
I think that's a pro feature? I guess you can fudge a video out of swapping textures if you have each frame of the video as a texture.

You could use a UV animation, and an audio source to emit sound however playing back movies is restricted to Unity iphone Pro and uses the quicktime APIs. On desktop machines playing back movies is achived by using a movie texture which also requires desktop pro.
Your best bet is to go with machinima.

you could go to new scene and make the camera and make text for the people to talk and making them move and everything with animation
don't understand the down-vote, as this is kind of a description of machinima, which I gave thumb Up for to burningThumb, so thumb Up here too =]
(no comment left by person who down-voted, why?)
