How to make windswept snow on mountains?

Hey all,

I'm trying to make a particle system that looks like windswept snow on top of my mountains. I don't know if many of you have played Skyrim or climbed mountains before, but I'm trying to make an effect that makes it look like some snow is being pushed by the wind off the side of the mountain.

So far I have the current set-up, although the effect moves too fast and is a little too big. Could anyone help with this? :)

What do you mean by "it's too big"? Are the particles too big, or is the entire effect too big? Generally. You can modify the scale of the entire effect in two ways - the particle lifetime and the speed of motion. The lifetime describes how long it takes for a particle to disappear after emitting, so if it moves faster, obviously it will move further in that time. By reducing some of the speed values in your settings (just multiply the vectors by 0.5 or something, which will keep the shape), you will also reduce the size, but by modifying the lifetime, you can make it bigger or smaller without changing the shape of the effect.

The effect is too big. The particles are fine.

I'm trying to get the effect to start at the top of the mountain and move down the side of it to create a kind of cloud/dust effect (but make it look like snow is being blown off the side).
