Video to texture in IOS in Unity 4.2
There is new feature added in Unity 4.2 "iOS: Added Objective-C VideoPlayer, to playback video to view or to a texture."
but no any docs or sample how to do this.
you probably have to assign it as a movie texture just look it up in the docs. As I do more android/web stuff, I am not sure about iOS, I personally found apple's development process far to tedious.
I insight on this too.. The Unity Doc page on $$anonymous$$ovie Texture hasn't been updated since 2007! the only thing available in the Handheld class is playing videos fullscreen, not as textures.

Movie/Video textures are not supported in iOS. Instead, you can use Handheld.PlayFullScreenMovie() method to play videos on iOS.
If you want to have more control over videos make your own plugins or use others'.
Well, I'm still interested to find out what they wanted to express with this line in the 4.2 release Notes: "iOS: Added Objective-C VideoPlayer, to playback video to view or to a texture." Sounds an awful lot like video texture should work on iOS now.
I know that there are plugins, but they are expensive. So why use them if it might be built in...
