Looking For a Good Book on 3d Graphics. Any Suggestions?
I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good book on 3d graphics. I'd like to learn more about 3d files; .obj, .fbx, .dae, ect.
This isn't really Unity related, this forum is more for technical questions in relation to Unity Scripting and it's interfaces.
In any case, you would be better off searching for books for a certain modeling program ( $$anonymous$$aya, 3DS $$anonymous$$ax, Blender ( which is free ) )...
If you're actually trying to look for how these file formats are constructed, that's an entirely different story.
Heres one about shaders.

".fbx" is AutoCad standard file. Requires software like Maya, 3D Studio Max or AutoCad. As far as I know these programs require 64 bit Windows.
".dae" is made with Collada.
The question is very specific, connected with the developer of the formats.
Maybe this will help a bit: http://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/3D-formats.html
