Multiple animations for a character
Hi. I use Carrara 8 Pro for my 3d program and that does provide FBX export capacity.
If I want to have a character with several prebuilt animations - say "sit" "swingSword" "scratchHead" and so on, what's the best way to do that if I'm using the free Unity 3.1 platform?
Do I simply create my character in Carrara, and the varied animations/motions to the timeline - "sit" from 1-2 seconds, "swingSword" from 3-4 seconds; "scratchHead" from 5-6 seconds"?
Do I need to separate each motion on the timeline for Unity to recognize as a separate clip?
Thanks.

I could have answered myself how to do that. But, it's going to be lengthy. so I redirect you to a tutorial:

Thanks for the reply. Went through relevant parts of the tutorial. Also found in the manual that you can tell Unity to use frame 1-20 for animation A, frames 30-60 for Animation B and so on. Will try it out.
