Need help Publishing a Mod

So, I'm trying to make a mod for Ravenfield and when I hit publish to steam it'll say that I'm not connected and asks if I want to. However, when I click to connect I just get a big grey box that does nothing. is there a way to fix this? or do I have to find a way to publish it without using unity?

Grey area : It does involve the unity Editor. Plus, UA totally lacks questions of this kind. This is something others users will find useful. But yes, this information is more likely to be found at S$$anonymous$$mworks support site.
