Texture distorted locally
Well just thought to play around with texturing. Applied quite a random texture from the internet and this is what I got.
(imageshack has definitely degraded sharing capabilities for anonymous users :S. So sry for bad quality pic) Distorted texture
Any idea why it does that?
Used different textures, same thing, also tried them on a new plane. Same thing.
What exactly do you mean by "distorted locally"? We don't know how the texture is supposed to look like and we don't know how the actual used texture looks like, so it's hard to say what you want to look different.
Btw, you can upload and embed images directly here on UA...
Are you sure you don't have another object with a distortion shader above your plane? No image effects on the camera?

Fare enough. Okey, the weird distortion I'm talking about is right in front of the camera on the first tile. Weird swirly part. It should be like the rest of the tiles.
"Are you sure you don't have another object with a distortion shader above your plane? No image effects on the camera?"
Pretty sure, cause I don't know how to put them on, yet :P.
I simply made a plane, material for it and dragged texture in Unity.
PS: Btw, the time I wrote this from my laptop, I dind't see that distortion. Wonder if it is a hardawre glitch or smth... Saved it and reloaded the project from my first computer and distortion is gone :S.
$$anonymous$$aybe you enabled some kind of post processing effect in your graphics adapter settings? Some have such useless gimmicks. I also remember there's a screensaver that does a similar distortion to your desktop image. $$anonymous$$aybe it get stuck... but afaik this screensaver works with a screenshot of your desktop and not the live image so it's probably something else.
Also next time do some more "reseach". For example move the plane left and right and see if it actually belongs to the object or not.
So i'm going to close this now...
pff, I did, but didn't think it would be much of a big deal to point out. Normally I test different things before posting. I never assume anything, neither should anyone else. Assu$$anonymous$$g makes an ASS of U and $$anonymous$$$$anonymous$$ Simple as that.
I never use any gimmicks to really "enhance" the visuals. But I'll look into my graphic settings incase of any other settings.
I'll keep that in $$anonymous$$d, in case I across with smth like this again.
Thanks anyway for the time! $$anonymous$$uch appreciated!
