Youtube in Unity
Hi, I was wondering if I can link a YouTube channel to my Unity Android APP and every new video that comes on that channel appears in my application.
Thanks.
Your youtube channel will have an RSS feed and I haven't checked but there are probably several plugins for RSS in the unity store. You can get your channels upload rss by using this link where you change '$$anonymous$$yChannelName' to your channel name obviously!
http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/base/users/$$anonymous$$yChannelName/uploads?alt=rss&v=2&orderby=published&client=ytapi-youtube-profile
You could then parse that to find when a new video has been uploaded and find the link of the video, then as @JoshNaylor suggested you can play the video from the link with with a $$anonymous$$ovie Texture.
I have visited the Asset Store and I didn't find any RSS plugin. But, excuse my ignorance, what should I do with the URL you gave me?

You will need to use Movie Texture : http://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/class-MovieTexture.html. This is a pro-only feature.

You can do it, but you'll need to build an Android Plugin that notifies your application and send the preview, etc
