Question by wolfen25 · May 23, 2011 at 04:01 PM · importanimations3dsmax

Import Model 3dsmax, becomes distorted with animations.

I tried importing a quadruped with a bone system into unity from 3dsmax. I exported it as FBX. I collapsed the animations from the motion menu, but the model is still distorted when i bring it into unity. Help.

There's no reason to export as FBX first. Unity supports (and prefers) the original filetype. Try importing your actual .max file and let's take it from there. :)

Are you scaling it when importing?

Try setting the scale to one (it's I believe at a tenth or even a hundredth by default), it has solved weird glitches for me in the past.
