I have to render a whole island from the vantage point of a mountain. What are your tips on how to manage performance?
I've been using Occlusion Culling for the lower regions of the island and it works fine, but whenever I get to any vantage point—be it upon a mountain or the beach or some external islet—FPS goes down very quickly. But what can I do? I still have to render the island; LODs are already at its lowest.
