Unity Crashing on Play after updating to 2018.2.1f1
I recently updated Unity from version 2018.1.0 to version 2018.2.1f1
I got a ton of Editor errors after updating due to having TextMesh Pro in my 'Assets' folder (now that Text Mesh Pro is included in the new 'Packages' folder)
So, I removed my old Text Mesh Pro folder from the 'Assets' folder, then
Window -> TextMeshPro -> Import TMP essentials
Window -> TextMeshPro -> Project Files GUID Remapping Tool
Scan & Saved
So now when I click Play on a scene that has TextMesh Pro gameobjects in it, the Editor just crashes with an error saying there is no fix. I also tried removing the TextMesh Pro gameobjects and the crash still occurs. I also tried building a playing, and the crash still occurs once it reaches a scene with TextMesh Pro gameobjects
What can I do to prevent the crashing?
Here's what my error.log file outputs: https://pastebin.com/UXLAwZ5G
