Animation problem

I want to create an animation for my character i saw many tutorial on YouTube but all of them had there characters as multiple pieces for example hand,leg etc.... My character is only one piece (body) how can I create a walking animation or jumping

You'll want to use your modelling program to do animations, most likely. If you're set on using Unity you'll need a skeleton, and that will act exactly like multiple pieces in those tutorials on... shudder YouTube.

if there were a simple way to do this, we wouldn't need animators.. You could look up beginner tutorials on Blender 3D (or whatever modelling software you are using), if I recall there's a pretty good one out there on rigging (somewhere, sorry I don't remember the link though).. But of course keep in $$anonymous$$d this is not something you're likely to learn overnight, it takes some getting used to

in 3ds max, we can use a BIP (biped), which is basically a standardized rig, and unity supports, I believe (not sure if there's something similar in Blender, but I think so). So you might look into using a bip, but it would still need to be skinned to your model.
