Without writing an essay on aesthetics, rules of composition, colour theory, use of offscreen space, architectural design, etc... how could anyone possibly answer such a question? It's also quite subjective and up to personal tastes. I would start by trying to mimic or copy a "look" you like, maybe even one of the tutorials has a look that appeals to you - if so deconstruct and analyze how it was put together.

I think he just wants bloom and god rays and reflections and HDR lighting that you see on typical FPS games.

Nice looking models, good textures, cool lights and shadows. I'm also playing with the ELMT and think you have to carefully consider what are you doing and for what pupose and what do you want to say before baking the light. You could do some work on the already baked lightmap in Photoshop as well.
