meshupdateproceduralprocedural meshsharedmesh
Shared Meshes, do they auto-update?
Lets say I have a procedurally generated "chunk". I assign a mesh to this chunk GameObject, and keep a reference to the Mesh. When I make changes tot he mesh, will the GameObject reflect the changes? Or do i need to update the GameObjects mesh every time I change it?
I am assigning the mesh to MeshFilter.sharedMesh, and I am changing the mesh by calling Mesh.Clear() and then assigning the vertices, normals and triangles in that order.

If I understand your question correctly, modifications to a reference to the mesh will show in the next frame draw. No need to reassign the mesh to the $$anonymous$$eshFilter. But why not just try it and see?
