Question by Santa · Jul 17, 2010 at 11:02 AM · iphonelightblinkingamount

How many lights could affect at an object at the same time

Hello,

In one place of my scene there is a large amount of light sources. And object moving there start to blink. When I decrease amount of light it blinks less. I wonder could it be because of amount of lights at one place? And how many lights could affect at an object at the same time?

If I remember correctly:

8 vertex lights

As many pixel lights as you set in the current quality setting (Edit > Project Settings > Quality)

It'll usually use the lights which give the highest light value to the object when choosing which to use

Thank you!

By the way am I right that it is amount of lights per polygon? Or per GameObject?

That's how many can affect a single renderer at a time

Thank you :) Ok... $$anonymous$$ay be not totally to this question. But may be you know. In iPhone Pro version there is one Static mesh combined from many meshes. The amount of lights limited to 8 will be for all this static mesh or for each initial object separately? (I'm thinking about future :)

It'll probably be for the entire thing
