How does resolution work in 2D and orthographic camera
I made a background image of resolution 800 X 500 and imported it in unity as a sprite. Pixels per unit ratio is 100 and orthograhic size of the 2D camera is 5. Now when I drag the image I have to double it to fit the width and height of the camera view. So my question is what should be the resolution of my sprites for a 800 X 500 target resolution build. And what should be my orthographic size.
See https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/Camera-orthographicSize.html ("camera's half-size") -- also previous questions https://answers.unity.com/questions/174002/what-is-the-relationship-between-camera-size-units.html and https://answers.unity.com/questions/923782/please-help-to-understand-orthographic-camera-size.html

So I experimented a bit and figured out that if you keep the orthographic size 5 then you need your sprites to be double in resolution.
Say you want a background to cover width and height of the camera for 800 X 500 you need your background sprite to be 1600 X 1000 in resolution with orthographic size of the 2D camera set to 5.
