Unity on mac crashes when I try to create a script

I've just gotten unity on my mac and I'm having a big problem. When I create a new project if i try to create a script (c# or javascript) unity crashes. If i try to reopen said project unity also crashes after a progress bar window comes up that says "importing assets: compiling scripts". The attachment is of my editor.log file because it seemed like that was something that might be helpful based on other posts I've read. Any and all help would be appreciated, thanks link
