Imported assets and textures
I've got several object imported from Max. About four objects roughly. When I try to apply a baked texture to one asset, it wraps perfectly, but then tries to wrap all other objects as well. If I try to apply the correct texture to another asset, it wraps perfectly again, but strips the texture off the first object and tries to wrap thew new texture on it. Any ideas how to separate the textures/assets?
Here is my suggestion Export as .fbx from $$anonymous$$ax. No worries and hassles of applying textures etc :) You will get your object as it is ;)

I am sorry I am not much a designer. But I am sure this article would help.

Use different materials for different objects. You can't really apply textures to objects, instead you apply textures to materials, and materials to objects.
