My sand texture is strangely bright.
Hi I have a large terrain with islands having sand and grass. The grass is how it should look and the sand is intensely bright. The sand looks good when I am zoomed out, but when zoomed in and playing the game it is almost pure white. The intensity of the light does not seem to change it much strangely. It is pretty bright even when I remove the light completely. I desperately need help. Thanks.
Could you put and image of what the sand should look like?
Are you sure that you are using a Diffuse(with or without normal map) shader or you are using an Unlit shader?
I don't know how to use shaders but that may be the problem. I just bought the Tropical Nature pack and it has shaders that may be screwing it up. How do I change it?
I don't use Tropical Nature pack (or any other pack), but I think this could be changed in the settings of the sand material.
I bought the same pack and had to delete all of the shaders it includes because they had so many problems working with my game. The rest of the assets aren't bad though. I would suggest downloading the free ATS terrain texture pack from the asset store and using those.
