number of characters in the same scene?
Hi,
I would like to put some people around a pitch, and the game is a mobile game: I am not sure if this is allowed in term of performance (my mesh would be around 800 faces, multiply by 10-15 people, and 2,3 textures to change a bit...). I heard of animated textures, but this would mean adding the texture of these people on a plane, so in 2D...
And the recommendations are about 900 to 1500 faces etc. but for how many meshes at the same time, in the same scene? Would you have some tips about this?
Thanks a lot
I think you'd want to go with mip maping
and if you add a class to all this people and put in a static veriable and than add 1 when a man is created it'll sum up how many you have
Static means only 1 exists even if class
@sdgd thanks for the answer, but you are talking about a 2d image, with the mip mapping option selected, right? I am wondering if having these people as distinct character in 3D (so let's say 15 in total) would be feasible or if this is not a good solution? Or do you mean only create 2d images and turn the direction so that these "planes" look at the camera to fake the 3d model?
