sphere-ize gui elements?
I'm curious if there is a way to display gui elements on the screen as though they are displayed on the inside of a sphere... like a HUD on a windshield. I don't know whether this can be done, or how difficult it would be, but I'm willing to learn how to do it. I just don't want to spend all this time on my GUI elements and then find out they are worthless if I want to accomplish this effect.

I believe a better approach would be to use game objects and meshes to represent the GUI in this case. Take a look here for a good example on implementing this.
