Market Trends with Unity
I was curious if there were any listings on money made or copies sold of games made with unity everywhere, to get a better idea of what people are looking for.
@jack, the Collaboration Forum is really a better place than this for that kind of question: http://forum.unity3d.com/viewforum.php?f=11
Hmmm never actually used the Collaboration Forum, what are the differences?
Well, UnityAnswers is designed for questions that have a single, specific Answer - candidate answers are voted up/down to indicate which are better, with the best answer (hopefully) getting a checkmark to show it's the right one. The Forums are for things requiring on-going discussions, or that might have multiple subjective answers (like "which language do you prefer?").
Of course, technically speaking, your question ("are there any listings of copies sold") might have a specific answer - but I'm betting the answer is no. In which case, you'd be reduced to asking everyone for individual answers, which again is a forum-like question.
Ok, thanks for that, probably a good idea to widen my resources anyway.

As Unity can be used to create pretty much any kind of game, with pretty much any kind of budget on at least quite a few different platforms ... I'd rather recommend looking for "market trends" for the type of game you are planning to create. The underlying game engine simply is not really a relevant criterion for that kind of question.
One good starting point for you may be the article by Tom Higgins: Casual Games as a Business
You might also find looking at the stats on various game portals interesting, e.g.
All Shockwave Games (Free Online Games & Download Games)
You can sort this by "Today's Plays" and also select various categories. That should give you a pretty good idea on "what people are looking for" when it comes to browser based games.
If you're more interested on what's currently popular regarding download games, have a look at Top Sellers on Steam
