Way to accurately export terrain?
I am making a level and already have the terrain build to accommodate my desired city. the only thing is i have to be very precise on the scale/size of the buildings and layout of the city. 3DS Max is my 3d tool so it'll have to be compatible with that. I've seen the script for exporting the terrain: (http://www.unifycommunity.com/wiki/index.php?title=TerrainObjExporter)
But to be honest i have no clue how to use this script(very little experience in programing/script), if someone could tell me how to use this it'd be great, but if there is another way that'll be good too
Using Unity version 3.30 BTW (gotta stay with this version for school)
Did you read that page? It tells you how to use the script.
"Did you read that page? It tells you how to use the script." says the man who wrote it.
While being the author of the script (and probably the author of the usage section, too) might make him more inclined to think that anyone reading it knows what he is saying, it seems to be pretty straight forward to me (have not actually tested it).
That was actually just a plain question. I've noticed that, sometimes, people don't actually bother to look at the instructions for using scripts. For some reason. ("I have no clue how to use this script/if someone could tell me how to use this" suggests that's what happened here.) I do spend some effort on trying to make them as clear and direct as possible, so I'd be interested to know why that happens. And if there's something that's not clear, I'd like to hear about that too.
