Character Prefab Break (Ragdoll)
Good day Community,
Is there an easy way to transfer non-humanoid ragdoll to identical rigs? Or a way to update the prefab with the new fbx without breaking it?
I have recently set up an animal's ragdoll rig (colliders, limits and such). I noticed that some vert skinning was not working out so well, so I fixed that up and re-imported.
To clarify, I exported the new bind pose from max, then overwrote the existing fbx in windows explorer.
I have come to discover this was not a prudent move. I have read posts about creating prefabs within prefabs, but that is not the case here, I created the prefab out of the bindpose. I was able to specify the old mesh(from an animation file) in the inspector, but i'm guessing that this will negate any skin changes I made.
