Web player texture resolution
The Editor shows nice high resolution textures but once compiled as a Unity Web Player, it looses its resolution. Yet I have the Quality Settings to "Fantastic" in the Inspector. Did I miss something?
Try setting your textures to True Color and switching off and compression. Also in Build settings you can set a default resolution. This is 960x600 by default.
also, check the mipmap settings and the aniso level of the textures.
Thank you for your answers. I have no idea where I can set the texture to True Color or switch off the compression. In the Build settings, I have the Player settings to resolution 1024 x 768 but that is the size of the screen, isn't it? Changing the Aniso of the texture doesn't make a difference and I don't know where to set the $$anonymous$$ipmaps. Could you help, please, I am more of a vector guy than a bitmap one! ;-)
Okay, now I have tried everything, True Color setting, etc. The point is, it looks nice in the Editor but not as run by the Unity Web Player. Something must limit it there.

It is most likely due to LOD (level-of-depth) or NPOT (Non-Power Of Two resolution), where the further you go or if it is in an odd resolution, then it graphically will lower quality to help with performance within unity.
