Realistic Water effects
I have an island, and it has a daylight water but NOT simple water. So when my player walks into, I want it to have a small splash effect around the graphics of the player. Also when the tide comes to the shore of the beach it has to have a small splash AROUND the whole island. Also I've tried making a Transparency shader just for water but doesn't seem to work fine YET.

Id recommend going into the bootcamp demo project, finding the particle effects that they have in there (they look amazing) and then export the package under the assets tab( making sure to select all dependencies) and then bring them into your project. unity said that you can use there demo projects in commercial projects here: http://unity3d.com/unity/faq.html under "Can we use code/assets/examples in example projects"
Yahh thanks, That project was really awesome. you've helped me allot.

@I$$anonymous$$TRIGGERHAPPY9 , i can find a link to the Island demo , but not Bootcamp. ($$anonymous$$e came with angry bots! unity 3.4.2f3). can anyone help ? am looking for some preset values for different particle emitter effects (water, tornado, windgust, duststorm, etc).
just search on the asset store its there. or if not there look in you unity folder on your computer $$anonymous$$e is a mac so its under username/shared/unity/BootCamp
k thanks. I was going through the standard assets (particles) i loaded up in new project, can tweak some to get desired effects. Just wondered if there was a handy table with all vars for different effects. Now making my own :) thx for the reply , I shall check the assets store out and keep experimenting.
