Flickering video on Mac OSX

Hi I've encountered a weird problem - running Mac OSX and a Unity App with HD video (1080p) the video flickers constantly. Low resolution video (i.e. 640x480 etc...) seems to work fine just the hi res video and only on a Mac - PC works fine - any ideas on what could be causing the problem and how to fix it?
