Animations not showing
I have search all over for the answer to this and watched every unity video on youtube with no luck.
I have a 3ds max animation. It is very simple just a primitive that morphs via number of scaled vertices. The model has been converted to a mesh and had the unwrap uvw modifier applied. The animation runs fine in max.
The animation is exported as an FBX version 2009.3. I place the model on my terrain and attach a simple script that checks if the animation is playing, if it isn't it just runs it again. The IsPlaying property is returning true but the animation does not play. The model remains in its initial frame state.
Any ideas? Thanks
Additional Info: If I scale, move or rotate the primitive for the animation, that is captured in the animation fine. The issue seems to be caused by scaling only a few of vertices. Those changes don't appear in Unity. Also, when the animation runs the model is moved to the 0 position. I read something about this having to do with where the animation is applied but I didn't get enough details to resolve the issue.

Are you trying to play Morph-target animation? Unity doesn't support them.
Ya, I just figured that out. Perhaps I missed that in the documentation somewhere.

You can get one of the plugins such as MegaFiers, that does morphing and a whole lot more.
