Is it possible to increase the fixedDeltaTime only for a single object?

Hi, I'm in a situation were using continous collision detection seams to have no proper effect. So I'm forced to decrease the fixedDeltaTime to 0.003. (Some others have the same issues I've read here.)

This of course cost a bit. Is there any other way to increase the collision detection?

Maybe it is somehow possible to just decrease the fixedDeltaTime only for a single object? If it is - how?

Or to tweak the "continous" properties?

What are you trying to do with this collision detection? $$anonymous$$aybe it's better to do a raycast to simulate a fast moving object?

I'm working on a VR- game where the player maneuvers an avatar with hand motion controllers (PSmove / HTC Vive). It's mostly based on using configurable joints. Have a look at our latest video here: https://vimeo.com/130981221

I already tried a raycast script, but I coudn't recognize an effect :(
