Ensure my dll will run on iOS?
Hi,
I have (what I think) a simple question. I'm currently building a Unity3D game. Another developer is working on the Unity stuff and I'm working on what we call the Foundation library. This is basically a library of data structures for things like Class (RPG Class) information, skills, stat scaling, etc.
I want to make sure this library will work on Unity iOS. We know it works on Unity Windows and Android but haven't had a chance to test it on iOS. We're currently waiting for our Unity license from our publisher so we can't just go ahead and try it. Is there any other way I can go about giving this a try?
Can I maybe load the project into MonoDevelop that comes with Unity and try building in there? Will that tell me if it'll work or not (at the minimum I guess it'll tell me if it will compile)? For reference, I'm building the library in Visual Studio pointing to .NET 3.5 .. The only dlls it references (currently) are System and System.Core. I've avoided as much "fancy" stuff as possible but I am using LINQ and I do use generic methods (which Mono says are not supported in AOT as of Mono 2.0?). Any of this stuff throwing up "red flags" here?
Any advice, suggestions, tips, etc would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks a bunch!
