avatar moving separate to character controller
Hi guys, I have a problem and I'm sure it is a simple fix. I've been working on a project and I'm having trouble keeping the speed of my avatar the same as my character controller. If you would kindly take a look at these screenshots...
When I have my player speed set to 0 the avatar and character controller move at the same speed. The problem is however that the animation does not play and instead the character is stuck in a pose that does not match movement.
When I up the speed to 1, the animation does play, however the avatar moves quickly away from the character controller.
Please any help on this would be greatly appreciated! Please let me know what I am doing wrong and if there is any more information you need me to provide.

Does your animator have Apply Root Motion set? In that case your letting your animation drive the movement of that component. And it seems like your character controller is not on the same game object as the one having the character controller.
