Change editor resolution
When i choose android as a development platform, it provides me with a few resolution options to test my game out on, for instance FreeAspect, HTCLegend, Droid and so forth. However, i want to test it on higher resolutions such as 1280 * 800 for newer devices.
Is there a way to modify this list?
Thanks
As of Unity 4 I still don't know how to change that list. I'm bumping this.

I am dealing with this same problem right now. The only way i have found to get around this is to go into free Aspect and move the window around with stats open until it reads the proper resolution. I also have not found a way to save them once you find them. Maybe someone has a better way.

I've created an Editor Extension called xARM to do this (and more). With it you can see your game in all the targeted resolutions, even multiple at a time. You can also use it to resize the GameView to a specific resolution. More infos: http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/196174-xARM-Aspect-and-Resolution-Master

As of Unity 4.2, this is possible now:
Custom GameView resolutions & aspect ratios. Custom settings are saved per project for easy sharing through version control (ProjectSettings/GameViewSizes.asset).
Yes, that's right. But the GameView behaves still the same. If you select 1280x800 but the GameView width and height is smaller you get somethingXsomething. With xAR$$anonymous$$ you always see the selected resolution(s) (have a look at the xAR$$anonymous$$ thread to see the comparison).
